Adhesive tape has the basic characteristic of being able to bond instantly under relatively low pressure and can be easily peeled off, making it simple to handle and widely used in various fields. The method for measuring the peel strength of adhesive tape is defined by JIS Z0237:2009 (Test Methods for Adhesive Tapes and Adhesive Sheets), with the 180-degree peel test method and the 90-degree peel test method being the mainstream for testing and evaluation. The tensile testing machine proposed by our company has the following features: • Easy setting of the peel angle. • No special fixtures are required for changing the angle. • The stage movement speed equals the peel speed, allowing for simple setting of test conditions. • It is possible to measure the peel angle dependence of peel strength, which was previously difficult. • High-speed peel testing is possible. (VPA-H200: 30000 mm/min, VPA-H100: 12000 mm/min) • A spectrum of peel strength from low to high speed can be obtained in a single measurement. • It can measure very small peel forces on the order of 0.01 N. • Low-angle peel tests can be conducted while minimizing material deformation. • The camera and observation position are synchronized, making dynamic observation easy.
