By using the separately sold option "3.5sq/5.5sq compatible cable clip," it is possible to incorporate thicker wires of one size up. (Applicable only for 15A and 20A types; not compatible with 30A type.) Meiko Group was founded in 1932 and will celebrate its "85th anniversary" in October 2017. It is a specialized manufacturer of electrical machinery and equipment consisting of four companies: three wiring device manufacturing and sales companies—Meiko Co., Ltd., Fukushima Meiko Co., Ltd., and Meiko Shoji Co., Ltd.—and one distribution board manufacturing and sales company, Meiko Sangyo Co., Ltd. The name "Meiko" was inspired by the image of a "bright factory" and was named by the founder, Eiji Kawamura, in 1945.
