"AZUL" is a new material developed using metal complex blue pigments and inexpensive carbon materials, surpassing platinum catalysts in both performance and cost. It is superior to Pt/C in terms of cost, performance, and durability, so using this catalytic electrode as an alternative to Pt/C is expected to reduce the use of the rare element Pt, lower the costs of devices such as metal-air batteries and fuel cells, and improve output and stability.
