By overlaying stained images and gene expression analysis maps, we can compare the characteristics of cells with actual gene expression.
"Visium spatial gene expression analysis" allows for gene expression analysis while maintaining the positional information of cells from tissue sections. Cells from a tissue placed within a 6.5mm x 6.5mm area can be analyzed for 5000 spots. An average of 1 to 10 cells can be captured per spot, and mRNA analysis can be conducted while maintaining positional information by assigning a unique barcode to each spot. [Features] ■ Ability to analyze 5000 spots of cells from tissue within a 6.5mm x 6.5mm area ■ RNA expression analysis while preserving the positional information of cells within the tissue ■ Comparison of HE staining images with gene expression maps *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Sample Acceptance Criteria】 ■ The embedding method is only OCT, and standard products are used. ■ Tissues are frozen using the specified method, and sections are prepared and cut. - Rapid freezing is done by immersing in isopentane over liquid nitrogen. - Thin sections can be cut to less than 10μm. - The size of the sections fits within the capture area (6.5mm x 6.5mm). ■ It is possible to prepare and mount the following number of thin sections on slides: - TO: 7 sections from the same tissue block sample. - GEX: 4 sections on one slide (different samples are acceptable). ■ RNA extraction has been performed using 10 sections from OCT-embedded tissues in advance, confirming that the RNA quality (RIN value) is 7 or higher. ■ Frozen sections have been stained with HE and imaged, confirming there is no degradation. ■ Samples for GEX analysis have been evaluated for the reaction time of the cell-permeable enzyme by TO. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
