Balanced photodetector with low-noise design using a dropper-type power supply.
The "Balanced Photodetector for THz Spectroscopy" is a one-package balanced photodetector that incorporates optical elements suitable for electro-optical detection in THz spectroscopy. It includes a λ/4 wave plate with a rotating polarizer holder to add optical phase bias to the probe light that has passed through a nonlinear optical crystal, and a Wollaston prism that separates the light into two orthogonal polarization components. Additionally, the position of the Wollaston prism is semi-fixed and adjustable, allowing it to accommodate subtle wavelength changes. 【Features】 ■ No need for external optical components as it incorporates a λ/4 wave plate and Wollaston prism (can also accommodate configurations without internal optical components) ■ Selectable between two wavelengths: 800 nm and 1.56 μm ■ Fixed transimpedance gain: 80 dB *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Our company was established in the spring of 2013 as the 13th venture company of Fukui University. We receive research grants from organizations such as the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and have utilized the terahertz wave-related technologies and patent seeds developed at Fukui University to provide high-performance terahertz spectrometers and terahertz wave sensors as products. We also offer terahertz optical elements developed using specialized processing technologies from the local Fukui Prefecture.
