The CentreCOM MMC201/MMC202 is a media converter that converts 100BASE-TX twisted pair cable to optical fast Ethernet. The optical fiber cable supports single-mode with one core, allowing for a maximum connection distance of 15 km for a 100 Mbps Ethernet system when used in pairs with MMC201A/201B, and up to 40 km when used in pairs with MMC202A/202B.
