Ethernet system connection distance extension with Fast Ethernet/Gigabit fiber media converter.
The CentreCOM DMC100/DMC1000 series is a standalone media converter that converts 100/1000BASE-TX twisted pair cables to optical fiber cables. The optical fiber cable supports dual-core multimode, and by using DMC100 series with each other or DMC1000 series with each other in pairs, the DMC100 series can extend the connection distance of a 100Mbps Ethernet system up to 2km, while the DMC1000 series can extend the connection distance of a 1000Mbps Ethernet system up to 550m. It is equipped with SC/ST/LC optical connectors, allowing for direct connection of optical cables. This compact standalone media converter can also be installed on walls using optional accessories.
