basic information
After a major storm occurred at a vast office park campus of over 810 square kilometers in New Jersey, USA, the 3D measurement company Vannorth Harbor began an investigation and research into the changes in the condition of underground manholes. With over 460 manholes to be surveyed efficiently and at a low cost, it became clear that using traditional fixed scanners would be extremely difficult. As a result of various studies, they discovered that Dotproduct had already developed the DPI series, a handheld scanner optimal for manhole measurement, and decided to adopt it. This case study includes examples of auxiliary parts for facilitating the survey, data expansion after acquiring scan data, and operational methods. Please take a look.
