We will provide composite elements that are more flexible and bendable than before.
Composite elements are structures in which grooves are processed into ceramics and resin is filled into those grooves. In conventional piezoelectric elements, when ultrasonic waves are emitted from objects with different sound speeds, such as air to water or biological tissues, the ultrasonic waves are hindered by the wall of acoustic impedance (= density * sound speed), making efficient emission difficult. Composite elements can reduce density by decreasing the volume of the piezoelectric element, which in turn can lower the acoustic impedance. We have developed composite elements that are more flexible and bendable than before. 【Examples of Applications】 ◆ Non-destructive testing ◆ Marine equipment ◆ Flow meters ◆ Medical devices *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
