The "Pillar Live Seal Unit No. 6300" is a spring-pressurized shaft sealing device for low-speed rotating machinery. The live seal unit, designed and selected specifically for each piece of equipment, achieves proper tightening simply by tightening until the gap between the spring collar and the packing holder is zero, both during initial tightening and when re-tightening. No special tools are required.
