The 82 series features an unprecedented robust design with a metal housing, shock resistance rated IK10, and protection against dust and water rated IP67, maximizing its appeal for use in environments exposed to the elements or prone to rough handling. It is available in momentary or alternate specifications, with point illumination or ring illumination options. Switches and indicator lights are often used under extremely harsh operating conditions. For example, alkaline cleaning agents and corrosion can have serious effects on HMIs in the food and beverage industry. Additionally, external factors such as difficult-to-remove dirt, fine dust, and the intense vibrations and shocks commonly encountered in heavy machinery and special vehicle applications require HMIs to provide a very high level of resistance.
