Our processed products were used in experiments at the Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo" of the International Space Station (ISS).
The International Space Station (ISS) orbits the Earth at an altitude of about 400 km, where a trace amount of the Earth's atmosphere remains, completing a full orbit approximately every 90 minutes. The environment surrounding the ISS features microgravity and high vacuum, with temperature changes ranging from below -100°C to above +100°C due to the transition between day and night every 90 minutes. High-energy cosmic radiation and ultraviolet rays bombard the station, with intensity varying due to solar flares. There is a harsh environment where space debris and cosmic dust fly around, and atomic oxygen (which is formed when oxygen molecules are broken down by strong ultraviolet rays from sunlight) exists, eroding materials such as those used in spacecraft.
