However, Philips has overcome this weakness by creating a waterproof (IP68) module that emits UV-C wavelengths using LEDs! Being compact, it can now be installed in refrigerators, coffee makers, humidifiers, ice makers, and other devices that traditional low-pressure mercury fluorescent lamps could not accommodate. 【Features】 - Emits UVC radiation that inactivates microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses, reducing microbial contamination by 99%. - Easy installation on devices with two types of mounting structures (snap-in / screw). - Low power consumption allows for lighting with minimal energy use. - Environmentally friendly as it does not use mercury. - Incorporates LED devices, allowing for lighting with a DC 12-24V supply. - Achieved waterproof specification IP68 (only for the front structure).
