Recently, the Nord-Lock washer has been certified and registered with the highest rating of A by the Metropolitan Expressway Company for its new technology. In the past, the common method for preventing loosening in bridge components was the nut type, and there was a lack of effective solutions for tapped hole fastening. The Nord-Lock washer is compatible with tapped holes, and due to its reliable loosening prevention effect, its adoption has increased within the Metropolitan Expressway since 2021, and it is currently in use. Products registered as new technologies will be shared company-wide within the Metropolitan Expressway Company. Moving forward, Nord-Lock Japan will continue to contribute to your safety and security through bolt fastening as a partner in solving various challenges related to bolt fastening.

We are pleased to announce that the Nord-Lock Washer has been designated as a technology for promotion under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's new technology utilization system, NETIS. NETIS Registration Number: KKK-190002-V (effective from September 12, 2023) NETIS Registered Technology Name: Nord-Lock Washer With this designation as a promoted technology, local development bureaus will work to promote the use of Nord-Lock Washers, and the ordering offices will also strive to specify Nord-Lock Washers in special specifications at the time of ordering, among various other uses. Furthermore, participants in the bidding process will now be able to receive higher evaluations compared to other technologies. We are pleased to announce that one of our Nord-Lock washer product lines, the "SC Washer for Construction," has been officially registered with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's New Technology Information System (NETIS). NETIS Registration Date: February 2023 NETIS Registration Number: KKK-190002-A NETIS Registered Technology Name: Nord-Lock SC Washer The Nord-Lock SC Washer is a product specifically designed for the construction industry. Each inner diameter is chamfered to optimize the contact surface between the HV bolt and washer, which features a unique arc shape. It can be directly replaced with standard chamfered washers (compliant with European standard EN 14399-6). Since it retains the wedge locking mechanism of the standard Nord-Lock washer, it prevents loosening through bolt axial force without relying on friction.
