Demo unit available: Non-contact tension measuring device for optical fibers [Celsa Corporation]
NCTM
Supports ultra-high-speed lines! It is a non-contact tension measuring device for optical fiber filaments before coating.
The CERSA NCTM is a measuring device for optical fiber filaments before coating. It measures tension non-contactly by utilizing changes in the refractive index inside the fiber. - Specifications □ Measurement range: 0 to 400 grams □ Fiber diameter: 80 to 240 µm □ Repeatability: ±1 gram □ Uncertainty: ±1 gram □ Measurement frequency: 1 kHz □ Fiber position measurement (for automatic alignment adjustment): ±0.1 mm Additionally, by using the dedicated software CIM, it is easy to automatically record graphs of diameter changes during the manufacturing process, as well as the occurrence location and time of defects, right from the start of production. It is also possible to manage multiple devices collectively, which greatly aids in production management.
