Presentation of case materials! Non-metals and difficult-to-machine materials can also be processed! High-precision double-sided grinding.
Leave difficult materials such as brass, ceramic, and tungsten to us! We achieve a thickness accuracy of ±5μ, flatness of 10μ, and parallelism of 5μ. We also accommodate mirror finishes.
"Precision Double-Sided Grinding" is a technology that simultaneously grinds a workpiece from both the top and bottom using a disc-shaped grinding wheel. By applying pressure from above and below, it suppresses warping of the workpiece and maintains high precision in flatness and parallelism. It achieves a thickness accuracy of ±5μ, flatness of 10μ, and parallelism of 5μ. The surface roughness can be finished as specified, and it also achieves high-quality finishes such as mirror surfaces. Since it is not a magnetic chuck, it can process non-magnetic materials as well. [Features] ■ Capable of grinding difficult-to-machine materials and non-magnetic materials such as Inconel, Invar, titanium, Kovar, ceramics, and copper. ■ Numerous processing achievements for products with high flatness and parallelism requirements (achieved flatness and parallelism of 5μ). ■ Achieves stringent surface roughness that is difficult with milling (Ra0.1 and mirror finishes). ■ Numerous processing achievements for products with high thickness accuracy requirements (achieved ±3μ). *We are currently offering a PDF document showcasing our processing achievements for automotive and aerospace components. Suwa Machinery Works was founded in 1953 and has been engaged in the manufacturing of precision parts and machine tools. In 1960, we established the Toyokawa Factory in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture, and have continued to this day. Since our inception, we have been involved in the processing and assembly of optical equipment, contributing to the development of local industries through reliable products. As optical technology expands into the field of "light" technology, our long-cultivated precision machining skills are enhancing our constant temperature facilities to meet the demand for micron-level precision, enabling even higher levels of accuracy. Furthermore, in addition to high-precision machining, we have established the capability to handle a wide variety of small quantities and complex processing techniques, laying the foundation for producing high value-added, high-quality products, thereby earning the trust of customers in various fields. Suwa Machinery Works is now moving forward vigorously in an era that suggests new possibilities, contributing to the field of precision parts.
