In October 2020, three companies—Tokyo Shokai Co., Ltd., Hishio Chemical Co., Ltd., and Hishiyo Trading Co., Ltd., which are part of Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company's trading division—merged to establish a new entity called Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Trading Co., Ltd.
