The "MC-Media Pad" (formerly known as Sanita-kun) is a simplified microbial detection medium that serves as an alternative to agar media. It consists of a sheet-like medium layered with a medium for detecting target microorganisms and a water-soluble polymer non-woven fabric. This allows for rapid detection without the need to prepare agar media. The "MC-Media Pad SA" is a microbial detection medium that allows for easy and quick detection of Staphylococcus aureus. It has obtained international certifications MicroVal and AOAC-PTM. Additionally, it complies with the food hygiene inspection guidelines, which are considered the standard for food microbiological testing in Japan.
