The "MC-Media Pad" is a simplified microbiological culture media that serves as an alternative to agar media. It consists of a sheet-like medium layered with a media for detecting target microorganisms and a water absorption polymer, non-woven fabric. Since there is no need to prepare agar media, it enables rapid detection. The "MC-Media Pad YM" is a microbiological culture media that allows for easy and quick detection of Yeast and Mold. Yeast form round red colonies, while mold form red colonies with indistinct spreading edges. It has obtained the international certifications MicroVal, AOAC-OMA, and AOAC-PTM. It is also included in the food hygiene inspection guidelines, which are considered the standard for food microbiological testing in Japan.
