[Customer Case Study] GC-MS Analysis of Volatile E&L Compounds
Development and Optimization of Headspace GC-MS Method for Volatile Extractables and Leachables
This is a technical document regarding the development of analytical methods for volatile E&L compounds by SGS in the United States. A rubber plunger stopper was used as a sample, and headspace was employed for sample extraction. This sampling technique allows for easy method setup and optimization, making it highly suitable for testing volatile leachables from polymer materials. Furthermore, by combining it with a high-resolution GC-MS system, it confidently and rapidly identifies volatile impurities in polymer materials with excellent sensitivity and mass resolution.
