Cytiva's individually packaged, sterilized membrane filters and filter funnels ensure microbial analysis in accordance with the membrane filter method (MF method). The GN-6 Metricel membrane, made of cellulose mixed esters, has established global standards for strict microbial control. Supor and Metricel black membranes further offer the advantages of low adsorption of drugs and proteins, as well as vibrant background color contrast that facilitates colony counting. These membranes provide customers with uniform and stable microbial culture. The MF method is efficiently executed with micro funnels that integrate the funnel and membrane. Equipped with membranes of 47 mm diameter and pore sizes of 0.45 µm or 0.2 µm, the funnel can be easily detached from the base by simply pinching it, allowing for easy handling of the membrane. It can be directly connected to standard laboratory manifolds and features graduated markings for easy measurement of sample volume. Each unit is provided in gamma-sterilized individual packaging, accompanied by a label for lot tracking for warranty purposes.
