[Heat Shield Product Comparison] Rooftop Natural Energy Applied Heat Shield Sheet 'Cool Roof'

This document introduces cases where the cool roof was adopted as a result of testing three methods: cool roofs, double-folded plate roofs, and heat-insulating coatings.

The Cool Roof is a heat insulation and thermal insulation system developed for metal standing seam roofs. It effectively provides heat shielding in summer and insulation and condensation prevention in winter, contributing to energy savings throughout the year. On page 5 of this case study collection, the following case is presented: CASE 3: Manufacturing Plant - Comparison of Heat Shielding Products ☆ This is a case where the Cool Roof was adopted as a result of a comprehensive evaluation of three construction methods. ☆ 【Features】 ★ It blocks sunlight with a sheet, preventing temperature rise across the entire roof. ★ The space (air layer) between the sheet and the roof prevents heat transfer. ★ Wind passes through the sheet holes and air layer, allowing warm air to escape. ★ The heat shielding effect in the summer under direct sunlight shows a temperature difference of nearly 30°C between the constructed area and the non-constructed area of the single standing seam roof (demonstration measurement results). ★ It mitigates the rise in room temperature, significantly reducing air conditioning costs and contributing to energy savings. ★ In winter, it prevents warm air from escaping, demonstrating insulation effectiveness. ★ The Cool Roof, which can suppress radiative cooling, also helps reduce condensation. ★ Secondary effects: noise reduction and roof material protection. ★ 5-year performance warranty with free annual inspections. ★ Installation for 1,000 square meters takes about one day, resulting in a short construction period.
