HyperCel STAR AX resin is composed of a rigid cellulose matrix with excellent flow properties and low back pressure, catering to the needs of protein purification at manufacturing scale. This resin is available in various package configurations as follows: ■ Convenient 1 mL and 5 mL PRC pre-packed columns designed to optimize methods and rapidly screen for selectivity, thereby streamlining preparation work. ■ Small pre-packed RoboColumns of 200 μL and 600 μL that can fully automate parallel separations by chromatography. HyperCel STAR AX resin can be provided as a slurry in a 1 M NaCl solution containing 20% (v/v) ethanol, or as a wet cake for process scale use. The resin in wet cake form facilitates the transfer of the resin and eliminates the hassle of stirring and suspending large volumes. The chemical stability of HyperCel STAR AX resin is high, allowing for simple clean-in-place (CIP) and storage. A standard CIP treatment of 0.5 to 1 M NaOH is recommended, while 10 to 100 mM NaOH can be used for long-term storage.
