Cutting oils and tool life are said to be very closely related. The development of tools began in the early 1900s with "high-speed steel," which is a material that does not soften at high temperatures even when cutting at high speeds, hence the name high-speed tool steel. Since then, the history of tools has involved continuous development to increase cutting speeds further and to ensure that tool life can be maintained even at high temperatures (i.e., whether heat resistance at the cutting edge can be achieved). Cutting oils contribute to extending tool life by minimizing the generation of friction heat and machining heat that occurs between the tool and the workpiece through their lubrication function. Since its establishment in 1983, Cool Tech has contributed to improving the productivity of manufacturing lines, primarily in the construction machinery industry, through its engineering business. However, with the acceleration of overseas relocations of construction machinery manufacturers' production facilities, it became necessary to respond to these environmental changes. Therefore, based on the experience and knowledge gained from previous businesses, we have shifted our business model to develop, manufacture, and sell devices aimed at improving productivity for the metal processing industry. Currently, we offer a range of products that propose solutions to issues related to cutting oils, including water-soluble mist devices, high pH alkaline ion water generators, and dedicated cutting oils. We have received support from numerous customers both domestically and internationally. Utilizing the experience and knowledge cultivated over many years in the engineering business, we will contribute to the development of the metal processing industry through product development that realizes productivity improvements in metal processing and sales through consulting for our customers.
