The particularly large advantage of semi-dry processing is the benefit of not using a large amount of cutting coolant. Oil mist makes it easy to process small-diameter deep holes. This mist, with a high kinematic viscosity coefficient, can penetrate cutting points of about Φ1mm, which are difficult to reach with the viscosity of regular coolants, allowing for sufficient lubrication at the cutting edge.
