High precision yet low cost, suitable for small-batch production of various types.
Vacuum forming and pressure forming are molding methods in which a heated and softened plastic sheet is stretched and pressed against a mold using air pressure.

basic information
Vacuum forming, which stretches sheets using only the power of vacuum, cannot apply pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. In contrast, pressure-assisted forming applies compressed air simultaneously with the vacuum, allowing for more precise shaping. Additionally, unlike injection molding or sheet metal pressing, the molds only need to be either convex or concave, resulting in shorter production times and lower costs. Furthermore, changes in product design are easy to implement. In other words, small-batch production of a wide variety of products is a specialty of vacuum forming and pressure-assisted forming.
