Measurement Case of Hydro Insight ●Ibuprofen When ibuprofen was measured by laser diffraction without dispersion treatment, a peak with a most frequent diameter of 100μm was obtained. When measured with Hydro Insight, the distribution was the same, but particle images showed aggregated particles. → Therefore, after ultrasonic treatment of ibuprofen, a particle size distribution around a most frequent diameter of 40μm was obtained. With Hydro Insight, the images appeared to stabilize as primary particles. → Summary: The distribution from the laser diffraction method alone did not reveal the aggregation.
