TOS700 (Material alternative to steel) Achieves a hardness of HRc55 due to frame hardening, making it ideal for cutting tools, structural materials, punches, and dies in integrated structures. FMC casting creates a foam model of the product shape using polystyrene, which is then embedded in a sand mold. The product is formed by replacing the foam model with molten metal. This process minimizes the occurrence of burrs and allows for the creation of complex and high-precision products. For small lots, cost reduction is possible compared to the wooden pattern method. Cost reduction is also achievable with the original (steel alternative) material.
