The upper-type centrifugal separator uses a dewatering bag with a bag-shaped filter cloth as the filtration material, and its attachment and detachment required manual labor. However, with a bottom-opening dewatering bag, you can simply hook a belt attached to the bag onto the crane's hook and lift it directly from the basket. You can maintain that height while moving and untie the string at the bottom of the bag over a container that receives the solids. This allows the solids to fall out from the opening of the bag, reducing the burden on the operator. However, even with a bottom-opening dewatering bag, it is often the case that it gets caught on the rim when being lifted from the basket, which can frequently trouble the operator. Therefore, we devised a rimless basket by removing the rim from the basket and instead attaching a rim to the dewatering bag to make it easier to lift. As a result, the task of loosening the solids and the snagging of the basket rim when lifting the bag have been eliminated, leading to improved washability of the basket.
