FMC casting creates foam models in the same shape as the product using expanded polystyrene, and then embeds these foam models in a sand mold to produce the product through replacement with molten metal. This process minimizes the occurrence of burrs and allows for the creation of complex and high-precision products. For small lots, cost reduction is possible compared to the wooden pattern method. Cost reduction is also achievable with original (steel substitute) materials.
