TOS700 (Material alternative to steel) Achieves hardness of HRc55 through frame hardening. Ideal for cutting tools, or as an integral structural material for structural components, punches, and dies. FMC casting creates a foam model of the product shape using expanded polystyrene, and produces the product by embedding the foam model in a sand mold and replacing it with molten metal. This process minimizes the occurrence of burrs and enables the creation of complex and high-precision products. For small lots, cost reduction is possible compared to the wooden pattern method. Cost reduction is also achievable with the original (steel alternative) material.
