FMC casting creates foam models that are identical in shape to the products using expanded polystyrene, and these foam models are embedded in sand molds to produce the products through replacement with molten metal. This method minimizes the occurrence of burrs and enables the creation of complex and high-precision products. For small lots, cost reduction is possible compared to wooden pattern methods. Cost reduction is also achievable with original (alternative steel) materials. Focusing on castings for press molds for automotive parts and various industrial machinery, we design and manufacture full mold models ranging from 50 kg to 15 tons, and achieve consistent production from casting to machining through melting with a high-frequency induction furnace that has low impurities.
