We would like to introduce a case study on solving customer issues related to the working environment. In an outdoor piping line carrying dilute hydrochloric acid, a valve was installed right next to a walkway, at face height. There was a risk of a serious accident if the chemical were to spray out from the valve joint and hit a person. To address this, we proposed installing a transparent PVC "safety cover for the valve" to contain any potential chemical spray and to physically make it more difficult to operate the valve. As a result, the installation work could be completed in a short time, and the measures taken became clear to everyone.
