In bacterial food poisoning, Campylobacter food poisoning has the highest number of reported cases, and it ranks second overall in food poisoning incidents after norovirus. In food testing, Campylobacter is isolated from selective media after enrichment culture. If colonies suspected to be Campylobacter appear, it takes about 4 to 5 days to confirm the results through further testing.
