Sun Kogei Co., Ltd. has been involved in the research and development of Braille signage and other systems since 1975, at a time when walking guidance systems for visually impaired individuals were not widely recognized. We have made progress in development with the cooperation of Kyoto City and various related organizations. However, nowadays, as guidance systems are increasingly incorporated into construction projects, there seems to be a tendency for the original welfare-oriented systems to take on a life of their own in terms of style and form. With the 40th anniversary of our founding, we would like to return to our roots and strive for the development of a nationally unified guidance system for visually impaired individuals as a welfare initiative.
