The "FDB-300W/FDL-8D" is a restricted mechanism type preference testing device that allows for selection tests by placing different feeds in two feed boxes (each with individually controlled shutters). It is autoclavable (high-pressure steam sterilization at 121°C for 20 minutes), and the software displays the settings for restrictions and the current status of the shutter openings and closings, as well as allowing for individual programming of all shutter operations.
