Currently, this is an improvement case from a company that relied on elderly silver workers for packaging tasks. The situation was that silver workers were assembling wooden pallets (wooden geta) using purchased timber. We received feedback that: - Securing personnel is difficult. - They wanted to minimize the use of wood considering environmental impact. Thus, we began the design process. [Reasons for not transitioning to cardboard] It seems that there had been a top-down goal of eliminating wood for some time, but they had not progressed to an all-cardboard solution. - Currently, products were fixed to the wooden geta with bolts. Since cardboard cannot be secured with bolts, they hesitated. - They could not find a cardboard manufacturer that could meet these requirements.
