In this column, we introduce a case of TOC meter renewal at the wastewater treatment plant of the German recycled paper manufacturer Steinbeis Papier. The company has been using a high-temperature combustion oxidation method for TOC measurement for many years. While they were satisfied with this method, there were many cases where the measurement range of the existing product was insufficient. It was believed that in order to maintain the continuous reliability of online TOC values, which are essential for accurate plant control and trouble-free TOC decomposition, replacement due to equipment aging was necessary.
