Until now, the company had been performing polishing work on super steel primarily by hand. However, due to the overall societal issues such as labor shortages and the transmission of craftsmen's skills, as well as the acceleration of IoT, they believed that introducing robots at this timing was essential for the company's future over the next 10 to 20 years and sought our consultation. By devising the workpiece placement table and the method for inputting parameters before processing, an automatic polishing system was completed that minimized setup time for small lots of various workpieces.
