The "Flying Ember Test Device" is a testing apparatus designed to verify whether roofing materials possess the ability to prevent ignition from flying embers generated by surrounding fires, thereby stopping flames from spreading to the roofing material itself, the underside of the roof, or adjacent buildings (ember performance). This device consists of a wind tunnel that blows a controlled airflow and a test specimen stand that sets the test specimen at a specified position and angle.
