This is a portable Raman spectrometer that reduces the need for sampling and improves the throughput of raw material identification verification without increasing costs.
Vaya, which accommodates a wide range of containers from transparent glass vials to brown paper bags, is a handheld Raman device that enables best-in-class testing through transparent containers and innovative handheld testing through opaque containers, allowing for the rapid transfer of raw materials to production in the shortest time possible. With Vaya, current testing protocols are improved, enabling 100% identification testing instead of small-sample testing. Even if regulatory authorities impose more tests in the future, it can transition to a higher throughput process without adding equipment. The Vaya system combines traditional Raman with its unique Spatially Offset Raman Spectroscopy (SORS), accommodating a wide range of sample/container combinations. Its workflow, specialized for raw material identification testing, allows for high-speed identification fully compliant with regulations, and can be easily deployed and used with minimal training and operator skill.

basic information
Efficient operation: Identification completed in seconds through opaque containers. No sampling room required, minimal handling of raw materials. Compatible with most raw materials and containers: SORS technology allows for raw material identification verification without interference from containers or liners, minimizing fluorescence. Fast and robust identification through various types of containers: Vaya identifies raw materials in transparent containers faster than traditional handheld systems and is capable of identifying through opaque containers such as white or colored tubes, FIBCs, paper bags, and brown bottles. Maintaining container integrity: Eliminates exposure to hazardous raw materials, preserves the shelf life of sterilized contents, and prevents unnecessary waste. Ease of use: A workflow specialized for raw material identification, clear pass/fail analysis, and an intuitive method development wizard allow for use with minimal training. GMP compliant: Supports batch identification and method development with a complete audit trail, ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11. Ready for immediate deployment: Data available for use with LIMS, a 2D barcode reader for fast data entry/method selection, and Wi-Fi for data synchronization.
