We would like to introduce Edwards' water-sealed pumps, which have a proven track record of implementation worldwide.
Water-sealed pumps have the following features: - Suitable for exhausting gases containing steam or liquids of water, oil, and chemicals. - The simple structure of the pump makes it less prone to trouble even if dust or powders are inhaled. - There are no sliding parts in the vacuum chamber, eliminating the need for lubrication, and exhaust valves are unnecessary. Edwards' water-sealed pumps come in single-stage and double-stage types, and we propose optimal structural materials (such as stainless steel, aluminum bronze, duplex stainless steel, Hastelloy, and corrosion-resistant materials) tailored to the usage environment. The exhaust capacity reaches up to 48,000 m³/h for the single-stage LR series and up to 7,500 m³/h for the double-stage HR series. They are used in chemical, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical applications, air-cooled condenser exhaust, flue gas desulfurization, vacuum sterilization, seawater degassing, food processing, and steel degassing processes. <Steam Ejector> Depending on the required ultimate vacuum pressure and conditions, we also offer package proposals that combine ejector pumps using steam with water-sealed pumps.

basic information
<Operating Principle of Water-Sealed Pumps> When the impeller (rotor) mounted eccentrically to the casing axis rotates at an appropriate speed, a liquid ring is formed concentrically within the casing due to centrifugal force, creating a space inside the impeller and the liquid ring. This space connects to the suction inlet, allowing gas to be drawn into the pump. As the impeller continues to rotate, the space gradually decreases due to the eccentricity, compressing the trapped gas. When the space reaches the discharge outlet, the gas is expelled along with a portion of the sealing liquid that removes the compression heat. <About Sealing Liquid (Seal Water)> The performance of water-sealed pumps is greatly influenced by the characteristics of the sealing liquid (seal water), and low-temperature sealing liquid is preferred. To minimize the amount of sealing water, Edwards offers systems that combine water-sealed pumps and separators, allowing selection from three configurations: continuous flow, partial recirculation, or complete recirculation mode. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
