  The process of combining point cloud data obtained from various measurement methods into a single three-dimensional space is called registration. In particular, the task of merging data from each station acquired by ground-based laser scanners is essential in the point cloud processing workflow. Trimble RealWorks is equipped with extensive registration features, allowing for high-precision and rapid registration processing, making it ideal not only for ground-based laser scanners but also for data creation in complex field environments.

  Point cloud data has the advantage of being able to capture a large number of points, but it also inevitably collects unnecessary point clouds (noise) that are unrelated to the measurement targets, such as passing vehicles, trees, and grass. The sampling tool has the function of removing this noise for specific purposes or thinning the point cloud to the necessary intervals.
