Next-generation 3D laser scanner that breaks common sense for architecture, equipment, and BIM.
The Trimble X7 (for construction and facilities) is a site-completion type 3D laser scanner that quickly captures point clouds at construction sites for structures and facilities, allowing for consistency checks with data created in BIM. - Its lightweight and compact design, along with a lightweight and robust carbon tripod, makes it easy to take to the field. - Setting up point cloud measurements is simple, enabling even beginners to easily capture and synthesize point clouds on-site. The synthesized point cloud data can be compared with various 2D/3D design data on a dedicated controller, allowing for on-site completion of progress management and quality verification. - When bringing it to the field for observation, it can measure point clouds according to pre-prepared design data, and even from a blank state, point clouds can be synthesized simply by observing from multiple arbitrary points, with data output possible on-site. We offer various automatic functions to ensure that even those without specialized surveying knowledge can obtain high-quality point cloud data.

basic information
In addition to measuring point clouds according to pre-prepared design data, it is also designed to quickly obtain point clouds, perform synthesis processing, and output 3D data on-site simply by observing from multiple arbitrary points, even from a state of nothing. We offer various automatic functions that enable high-quality point cloud data acquisition, even for those without specialized surveying knowledge. ■ Automatic leveling - Allows beginners to easily and reliably perform 3D scans ■ Automatic calibration - Calibrates each measurement to optimize quality ■ Automatic synthesis - Point cloud synthesis through background processing parallel to observation ■ Automatic panorama - Captures smooth panoramic photos with three high-resolution cameras ■ High sensitivity mode - Supports highly reflective surfaces such as metal piping and asphalt pavement ■ Supported file formats: 2D/3D DWG, IFC, SketchUp (skp), Digital PDF, LandXML (surface information only), coordinates (CSV) ■ Annotation function - Tags notes such as photos taken on-site ■ Scanning is possible just by placing it in a stable location ■ Lightweight body - Main unit weighs 5.8 kg (including battery), comes with Gitzo carbon tripod ■ Backpack-type backpack included as standard

With the Trimble X7, the "leveling" work that was traditionally required for setting up 3D scanners is no longer necessary. Thanks to the "automatic leveling" feature, it can obtain data similar to that of a level installation even when tilted. It performs automatic leveling with an accuracy of 3 mm at tilts of up to 5°, and if tilted up to 45°, it automatically corrects during the merging process after scanning. This makes it possible for anyone to easily perform 3D scanning.

The Trimble X7 performs tilt correction, ambient temperature and internal temperature checks, angle correction through collimation error checks, and distance correction based on reflectivity for each measurement, ensuring that every measurement is conducted with the quality of a freshly calibrated device. It also monitors vibrations and movements during scanning to optimize the data.

The control software for the Trimble X7 utilizes the familiar "FieldLink" used in construction sites. It supports standard data formats for BIM with attribute information such as IFC, as well as the import of SketchUp (.skp) files, 2D/3D DWG data, Digital PDF, and coordinate data (CSV), making it easy to set up equipment on-site and compare with design data.
