Using Windows tablet devices, you can easily create asbestos-containing pre-investigation reports and apply for web reporting by conducting document investigations, taking photographs during on-site visual inspections, and assessing deterioration conditions. Starting April 1, 2021, prior investigations for asbestos-containing materials have become mandatory for all renovation and demolition work. It is required to conduct a "document investigation based on design drawings" and "on-site visual inspections" to create an "asbestos-containing pre-investigation report," which must be kept for three years. Furthermore, from April 1, 2022, for renovation work with a contract amount of 1 million yen or more, or for the demolition of buildings with a floor area of 80 square meters or more, it has become necessary to report the results of the asbestos pre-investigation to the Ministry of the Environment and the Labor Standards Inspection Office via the web. Additionally, starting October 1, 2023, only qualified individuals such as asbestos-containing building material investigators will be able to create and report these documents, tightening the regulations on asbestos investigations and reporting.
