【Three Points】 1】 "Cutting Edge Cooling Effect" Research indicates that the "film boiling zone" occurring near the actual cutting point hinders the coolant from reaching the cutting edge. By increasing the coolant pressure to 20MPa, it is said that we can reach areas of the cutting edge that were not accessible at the conventional 7MPa, thereby enhancing the cooling effect. Chips that have absorbed cutting heat typically change to blue or brown. In cutting performed with HIPRECO at 20MPa, the chips remained the color of the material. This could be considered evidence of the cooling effect. 2】 "Fragmenting Chips with High Pressure" In finishing cuts with minimal material removal, such as 0.1 to 0.2, it is judged that external pressure, such as "leveraging impact force," is necessary to fragment chips that tend to elongate.
