■Development of Sound Absorbing and Insulating Materials without Prototyping One of the advantages of simulation is the ability to compare performance with different specifications without the need for prototyping. Additionally, the function that calculates the impact of various material properties on acoustic performance (Parameter study) supports guidelines for material design in relation to target performance, facilitating efficient development that does not rely solely on experience. ■Even if you do not know the material properties... If you have measurement results of the vertical incidence sound absorption coefficient, you can predict material parameters (modeling parameters of material properties) using the inverse estimation function (Single-optimizer). Of course, it is also possible to utilize the extensive material parameter database available in STRATI-ARTZ. Furthermore, our company offers commissioned measurement services for material parameters. ■Prediction of Sound Absorption and Insulation Performance Using Fiber Material Parameters We have implemented a model (Kato model) that predicts sound absorption and insulation performance using only fiber material parameters (fiber diameter, fiber density, bulk density). By using parameters that are relatively easy to obtain in the field of nonwoven fabric development, we can more closely link product development with acoustic models.
