The "Contact Image Sensor Appearance Inspection System" can capture images without distortion at any part of a wide workpiece, including the center and edges. When comparing the captured images, the images taken with a line sensor camera showed distortion at the edges of the field of view, while the images taken with the contact image sensor camera had no distortion at the edges.
