Pioneers of Polishing: Introduction to Tohken's Technology [New Era of Polishing EGR]
EGR
We deliver stainless steel, high alloy, titanium, and other steel materials with the highest quality polishing finish.
We would like to introduce Tokyo Stainless Polishing Industry Co., Ltd.'s original polishing technology, EGR (Electrolytic Grinding Reducing). EGR is an original polishing technology that combines grinding with abrasive wheels and neutral salt electrolytic polishing. [PR Points] ★ With EGR, hot-rolled materials are finished to a surface roughness equivalent to cold-rolled material 2B. Furthermore, the surface is polished even smoother than cold-rolled material 2B, significantly reducing pinholes. ★ By utilizing EGR as a base polishing method, the quality of subsequent diverse polishing finishes is greatly improved. We deliver surface quality suitable for materials used in food, sake storage, and medical tanks that require stringent surface quality. ★ EGR achieves scale removal and high-quality finishing for difficult-to-grind materials such as duplex steel, high-alloy steel, and titanium. * Please feel free to contact us for more details. * For information on polishing finish types, EGR, and finishing polishing technology, please refer to the PDF.

basic information
【EGR (Electrolytic Grinding Reducing)】 〇 The high-temperature oxidation scale on materials after hot rolling and annealing can be descaled with low environmental impact without using acids. 〇 Regardless of whether the surface has high-temperature oxidation scale or is pickled, a reduction of about 30μm per pass of the head can be achieved. EGR grinding is applicable to all stainless steel grades and can also achieve polishing effects on high-alloy and pure titanium, among others. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
