Through the signal processing of this tactile array sensor, it can provide a wealth of accurate tactile information and contact dynamics for robotics, haptic feedback, and other contact applications. The parameters obtained include contact position, object shape, and pressure distribution, making it ideal for measuring surface pressure (tactile) of various shapes. It can be formed into a 2 x 2 array with a minimum pitch of 1mm. Additionally, it can form up to 1024 sensing elements (32 x 32 array) at pitches of 1mm, 2mm, 3.8mm, or 5mm, allowing for the measurement of very small pressures, such as human pulse.
